Organic Cotton Ruff – A New Take on Handcrafted Trimmings

The best of different eras: This extraordinary ruff combines modern, sustainable design with traditional craftsmanship. The handcrafted trimmings draw inspiration from 18th- and 19th-century design elements and are paired with a contemporary upcycled material.

The ruff is made from upcycled organic cotton fabric. The hand-braided ribbons are created using a traditional Japanese knotting technique. The decorative beads are hand-embroidered with pearls—making each piece a one-of-a-kind creation.
100% handmade—crafted in our studio in Germany.

Versatile styling:
The circumference of the ruff is approximately 45 cm/ 18". The width can be individually adjusted using the ribbons.
You can wear the ruff in different ways:
- snug or slightly looser around the neck
- with the clasp in the front or back
This allows you to style this piece in new ways time and time again.

The fabric is made from scraps of BAUHAUS towels, giving it a second life.

Care:
If necessary, wash gently by hand and then let it dry flat on a cloth. Small, protruding threads can simply be carefully trimmed with scissors.
Professional dry cleaning is also an option.

Customization:
Upon request, the neck brace can be customized:
- Color of the beads
- Length of the straps
- Diameter of the bead spheres
